Morpheus8, designed by InMode, is a micro-needling and radiofrequency treatment that promotes collagen production, and it also helps reduce the appearance of cellulite, stretch marks, and scars.
Micro-needling is a cost-effective alternative to other treatments like surgery or laser, making it one of the most popular treatments in our Medspa. Popular for reducing wrinkles and addressing other conditions like acne scarring, this treatment is ideal for people looking for cosmetic benefits without the use of Botox or fillers.

What is Morpheus8?
Morpheus 8 is an FDA-approved device used to help contour and remodel the face and body. It’s a new procedure that uses micro-needling treatments combined with radiofrequency technology to target specific layers of the skin. It’s safe and effective while also minimally invasive.
Morpheus 8 is designed to stimulate your body’s collagen production, which helps reduce signs of aging like wrinkles and loose skin.
The Morpheus 8 has two versions that can increase the treatment’s functionality. The standard Morpheus 8 treatment is ideally used for smaller areas, while the Morpheus Body is designed for larger areas and deeper treatments.
What Is Microneedling?
Microneedling is a technique used to treat various skin conditions. Multiple small needles puncture the skin to cause light physical damage or trauma, which encourages the deeper layers of skin to rebuild itself.
The protein created to rebuild the damaged skin tissue is collagen. Collagen is also the key ingredient in keeping skin firm, smooth, and stretchy. This treatment can be effective for various skin-related issues like scarring, acne, skin hyperpigmentation, loose skin, and wrinkles.
The results of microneedling are not immediate. Your skin needs time to generate collagen and go through the healing process. It can take a couple of months for the treatment’s full results to be noticeable.
How Is Radiofrequency Technology (RF) Used?
One of the things that makes Morpheus 8 and Morpheus Body different from your standard microneedling treatment is its use of radiofrequency technology. As the needles hit deeper layers of your skin, they simultaneously deliver radiofrequency to stimulate the skin and increase collagen production at a deeper level than standard microneedling.
How The Morpheus8 Treatment Works
After applying a numbing cream to the skin, it’s then cleaned with an anti-bacterial solution. Once your skin is clean and numb, it’s time for the Morpheus 8. The most common Morpheus 8 treatment areas are the face or neck, and each treatment takes about 30 minutes.
Morpheus8 administers 24 silicone-coated needles into the superficial layers of fat beneath the skin using a handheld device. How deep these needles penetrate will depend on the targeted area and the desired results.
The device uses micro-needles to make tiny punctures in the skin. Once the needles are in place, the device generates a pulse of radio waves that tightens up the soft tissue, stiffens the fat, and prompts the body to produce more elastin and collagen.
The radio waves travel through small channels into the skin’s layers with every application and leave little to no visible thermal damage to the skin. While the treatment is generally painless, you might feel some pressure and heat in the treatment areas.
You will have little to no downtime after a Morpheus 8 treatment. Many patients would describe the treatment as generally painless.
Post-treatment you are advised to rest for three days or so before doing anything strenuous. Shortly after treatment, you may notice some redness, pinpoint bleeding, and mild bruising, but these side effects usually go away after 48 hours.
After receiving the Morpheus 8 treatment, you can expect the results to last for up to a year after your last appointment.
What Skin Conditions Can Be Treated With Morpheus 8?
Morpheus8 can treat various skin conditions and body issues, including neck jowls, wrinkles, crows feet, and frown lines. The treatment is also great for reducing the signs of aging and the appearance of acne scars.
Morpheus8 is especially well-suited for use in delicate treatment areas like the skin around your eyes. It reduces under-eye bags and dark circles and helps to tighten and tone the skin around the eyes.
While Morpheus8 can boost skin health and stimulate collagen production in the targeted areas, it cannot stop the aging process entirely.
