Meet Dr. Emerick Salas
Plastic Surgeon
Dr. Rafael Emerick Salas is an award-winning board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in all aspects of the face and body. He is especially known for his “mommy makeovers” (tummy tuck and breast lift +/- implants). He earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami as well as a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at Barry University. He attended the prestigious Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts where he received his Doctorate in Medicine (M.D.). Board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, as well as a member of the exclusive American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). Dr. Salas is also recognized as one of Top 10 Plastic Surgeons for Patient Satisfaction by The American Institute of Plastic Surgeons, voted one of Americas Top Surgeons by the Consumer’s Research Council of America and has been selected as Medical Advisor (State of Florida) for “Sons Of The Flag”, a non-profit organization that helps burn victims and their families.
Harvard Medical School Trained
Dr. Salas completed his surgical internship at the Harvard School of Medicine, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. He continued on to do his surgical residency at the Harvard program, and then completed a Plastic Surgery fellowship at the University of South Florida School of Medicine in Tampa, Florida. While there, he also completed a Plastic Surgery research fellowship, publishing numerous articles on the plastic surgery specialty which he presented at national conferences.

So I moved out of the country and came home to Miami for a visit. My regular Dr. couldn't fit me in for a botox touch up so a friend recommended Dr. Salas. I like his manner immediately. He didn't rush, he really examined my face and explained everything, made suggestions and I was thrilled with the results. He immediately became my new Dr. I spent some time thinking about getting my breasts done, they had lost shape and sagged. My friends said get several opinions but I felt so confident, he was my only option. My friends also said to get implants since just a lift would make them smaller. I talked at length with him and Nurse Clarissa. She also was available for every question and would calm my fears. After discussing both options, I elected to just get a lift. It went awesome. Dr. Salas is very intellectual, big on science-based practice, and has great bedside manners. I felt comfortable with him from the beginning till the end. He truly cares for his patients deep down within. I have met so many doctors that could care less about their patients, just treat and continue. However, Dr. Salas is completely different.
On the day of my surgery, I informed him I was scared (I genuinely was terrified), he told me that it was normal because I am human.... But he didn't leave it just at that. Dr. Salas stayed with me from the moment I said I was scared all the way to the operating room. Once inside the operating room and they began administering the anesthesia, he held my hand and told me "everything is going to be okay plus you're going to wake up beautiful" (which put a smile on my face). Had to come back and edit my post. I have to say I definitely changed my mind about his doctor. I believe he did everything in his power to make me a happy woman about my boobs. And so... I am very satisfied about how good my boobies are looking!!!!!!!!!! I felt dissatisfaction at first due to the decrease in size I saw due to the fact I loved how they looked when they were swollen.
